Channeling vs Stealth vs True Sight vs etc Examples
Example 1A:
Kaelyssa (ignores concealment, Camouflage and Stealth) channels through a Chimera (doesn't ignore anything) at a Stealthed model that is more than 5" away from the Chimera.
•Kaelyssa is the model making the attack roll, so she ignores the [attacks made from more than 5" away automatically miss] aspect of Stealth, because that would be a modification to her attack roll.
Example 1B:
Kaelyssa channels through a Chimera at a Stealthed model that is behind a wall of intervening stealthed models, all more than 5" away from the Chimera.
•Kaelyssa ignores stealth, as per 1A.
•The wall of stealthed models don't count as intervening models, because they are more than 5" away from the Chimera (which is the one you're determining LOS from)
Example 2A:
Bethayne (doesn't ignore anything) channels through Belphagor (has Eyeless sight, so ignores stealth) at a Stealthed model that is more than 5" away.
•Bethayne is the model making the attack roll, so she doesn't ignore the [attacks made from more than 5" away automatically miss] aspect of Stealth, so the attack automatically misses.
Example 2B:
Bethayne channels through Belphagor at a Stealthed model that is behind a wall of intervening stealthed models, all more than 5" away from Belphagor.
•Not only would the attack automatically miss, as per 2A, but
•You can't even draw LOS to the model behind the wall of stealthed models, because Belphagor does ignores the [this model doesn't count as an intervening model] aspect of Stealth, as that is a modification to the LOS.
